Today I am reviewing Auroshikha frankincense incense sticks.
Auroshikha is a pretty popular incense manufacturer. It’s common to find their incense in online stores and new-age retail locations. This is the first time I have tried any of their incense sticks.
The pack of incense is relatively small, containing about 10 grams of incense. For those who aren’t aware, when talking about Indian incense, one gram of incense is usually one stick.
The packaging mentions the following:
This incense is made with ingredients as per the guidelines of the International Fragrance Association, Geneva, Switzerland.
I’m not sure what exactly their guidelines are, but hopefully that means that this is a natural product.
Review
The pack was actually a little hard to open. It might sound strange, but both flaps on each side of the packaging are glued shut. I actually had to cut the packaging open with my pocket knife. The packaging is sturdier then some other packaging I have found, which is nice, but I wish it were easier to open.
Inside the packaging I found exactly ten incense sticks sealed in cellophane.
The incense sticks look nice. The color of the masala is a grey/brown color.
As for the scent, it is a decent smelling frankincense incense, but it is the earthy/spicy variety, rather then a fruity-citrus aroma like Tennendo Omani frankincense incense sticks.
I did smell a slight campfire smell when I first lit the stick, but as the incense burns, it becomes sweeter, and the frankincense fragrance becomes more apparent.
I assume since this is an Indian variety, they likely used Boswellia serrata frankincense resin. There are definitely some other ingredients in this incense stick as well, but the aroma is primarily frankincense.
