How Backflow Incense Burners Work

Incense Benefits

Backflow incense burners are beautiful to look at. When you light a backflow incense cone and place it within one of these burners, the smoke gently falls down and creates a wondrous pattern.

Backflow incense burners themselves actually don’t work in any special way. All they do is create a pattern for the smoke to fall in. The trick is within the incense cone itself.

How Backflow Incense Cones Work

It’s quite simple really. Backflow incense cones have a hole drilled into the bottom of them. Since smoke is heavier then air, the smoke falls down through the hole and floats throughout the pattern.

If you’re wondering, yes, you can create your own backflow incense cones by drilling or hollowing out an incense cone. However, this can be dangerous because incense cones are so small, and precise accuracy is required, so I don’t recommend you do this.

Are There Backflow Incense Sticks?

I understand why somebody would ask this question, but the answer is no, there are not any backflow incense sticks. This is because the sticks would have to be made differently and therefor so would the method in which we burned them.

If you would like to burn backflow incense, you will have to stick to incense cones for now.
