I am quite sure that most of you know how to light an incense stick.
However, there may be people who haven’t yet heard about them, or who come from cultures where incense is not prevalent. So, in the paragraph below, I have written simple instructions on how to light an incense stick.
Luckily, lighting an incense stick is relatively straight forward.
Directions
- Take a lighter or flame and burn the end of the incense stick.
- Once it catches fire, light it sit there for a couple seconds, and then blow it out.
- Once you’ve blown it out, there should be a smoldering red tip on the end of the incense stick. Check and make sure that this is the case. If it’s not smoldering red, then it won’t be able to continue burning.
- It is then recommended to place your lit incense stick in an appropriate incense burner in a fire-safe area.
Another article you may find interesting is this article on how to store incense. Storing your incense sticks in the proper way is quite important because if you store them improperly, then the scent may degrade and become less desirable.
