Karkade (Arabic كركديه, scientific Hibiscus sabdariffa L., English: Roselle) is the translated Arabic word for hibiscus flowers, and is commonly used in reference to infused hibiscus tea as well.
Naturally, hibiscus tea has a dark red color, and is a popular beverage throughout the world, but is notably common in places such as Egypt and Sudan. Steeped in cultural significance, Karkade has become increasingly popular in recent years.
