Today I am reviewing Nippon Kodo Kayuragi sandalwood incense sticks.
This is a more modern incense product line from Nippon Kodo.
Nippon Kodo states this about their Kayuragi incense line:
Welcome to the world of Kayuragi, where fragrance “Ka” meets with slowly wafting scented smoke “Yuragi”. Comfortable fragrance, where calm wafts in. Inspired by Kimono (Japanese traditional wear) fabric, the package texture is smooth, and the coloring is dramatic.
Not only are these reasonably priced, but the packaging is beautiful as well.
The incense sticks come in a wooden box with printed paper over the top.
Fragrance note: Sandalwood
Burn time: Approximately 25 minutes.
Review
These obviously smell like sandalwood. Although, these seem a bit sweet compared to more traditional sandalwood incense blends I have burned.
A little sweet for me, but as a modern-styled incense, this is actually very nice, although it’s apparent that part of the aroma is coming from a sandalwood oil. If you’re into sweet sandalwood scents, you’d probably love this. I just prefer my sandalwood fragrances a bit more dry.
There’s a reason these are so popular, as they really do smell great.
These incense sticks seem to produce a moderate amount of smoke.
