Today I am reviewing Gyokushodo’s Buntoku incense sticks.
This is Gyokushodo’s entry level aloeswood blend in their Dento no Kaori Incense Assortment.
This incense stick is supposedly an aloeswood and sandalwood blend which also incorporates spikenard, spices, benzoin, and camphor.
Main Ingredients: Aloeswood, Sandalwood, spikenard, clove, cinnamon, benzoin, and Borneo Camphor.

Review
This seems to be a spicy aloeswood blend, mellowed out with sandalwood.
The fragrance of the wood seems to give off an orange vibe.
The spikenard gives it a certain musky tang. The benzoin is more noticeable to me then the camphor, and gives it an earthy, resinous balance. I smell a little cinnamon, but the clove seems to be mostly hidden.
I am a huge fan of Japanese agarwood blends which incorporate benzoin and I really like this one.
