Today I am reviewing Shoyeido Hope incense sticks.
Shoyeido describes the fragrance as:
Resinous frankincense, an aromatic wonder of nature, engenders feelings of faith and devotion.
Main Ingredients: Sandalwood, frankincense, and ginger lily.
Approximate Burning Time: 30 minutes per stick.
This incense stick has a medium purple color.
Review
The fragrance seems decent, if you’re into this sort of thing.
Sandalwood, frankincense, and ginger lily does, of course, sound like an awesome combination. Unfortunately, this formulation seems a bit light on the frankincense, and I really would have loved for this to shine through more. The ginger lily does add a lovely warming vibe to the fragrance. The sandalwood seems wrap around the accompanying scents.
Overall, the fragrance smells a bit ‘powdery’.
